Work experience:

2008-2013 - While studying, he worked as an architect at Grandterrier-Atrium LLC, in the studio of his father, Alexander Vasilyevich Melnichenko, a talented architect who designed the fountain complexes on Moskovskaya Square and Lenin Square in Saint Petersburg.

2013-2018 - Leading architect at Gorproekt CJSC in St. Petersburg under the supervision of the institute's chief architect, F.V. Nikandrov. He participated in work on landmark projects being implemented in Moscow: the Evolution Tower, the Park Pobedy transport hub, and the multifunctional complex on Mosfilmovskaya Street.

2018-2021 - Worked under the supervision of A.S. Rogulin at Severnaya Stolitsa LLC on educational, residential, and public building projects. Managed projects from the conceptual stage to the design and working documentation stages, including architectural supervision. Of particular note is the project for a multi-story residential complex for young families in the Pargolovo village of St. Petersburg, which was completed and awarded a silver medal at the international EURASIAN PRIZE 2019/2020.

Member of the National Association of Surveyors and Designers (NOPRIZ) since 2021.

Since 2022, he has been the chief project architect at Platforma LLC, and since 2023, the head of the architectural concepts department. He has worked on public and residential building projects, including interior design, from the conceptual stage to construction supervision.

In 2012, he launched a website for his own creative studio, AM-ARCHITECT, which marked the beginning of his independent practice. Several successful competitions, along with persistence and consistency, led to real commissions in interiors and country houses, and later, large-scale urban development projects for public and residential buildings. He developed concepts for the Architectural and Urban Vision (AGO for St. Petersburg) and Architectural and Urban Solutions (AGR for Moscow), and designed the Project stage.

All works published on this website are the copyright of the artist. The projects share a stylistic unity and creative signature. Each project is the pride of the studio and the result of the work of a vibrant and talented team of artists.

The motto of the creative approach is the idea expressed by the poet Joseph Brodsky: "Aesthetics is the mother of ethics."

AM-ARCHITECT's philosophy and design experience:

Architecture as a synthesis of art and engineering, our philosophy is based on the classical understanding of the architect as a "master builder" with a broad perspective and multidisciplinary education. Over 14 years of practice, we have developed a unique approach in which creative exploration is inextricably linked with a deep understanding of all construction processes. We do not limit ourselves to a narrow specialization, believing that only a comprehensive vision allows us to create aesthetically pleasing, functional, and cost-effective projects.

This is possible thanks to our 14 years of experience, which spans all scales: from urban planning concepts for residential neighborhoods and villages to the design of private residences and interiors. We undertake the full implementation cycle—architectural design, preparation of design and working documentation (AP, AI), AGR/AGO approval, and architectural supervision. We especially enjoy building turnkey country houses, where the designer's control extends to everything from the façade design to the interior door handle. We create more than just images, but thoughtful living environments! Our team successfully integrates buildings into their context, considering engineering, insolation, and functional zoning from the initial sketches.

The workshop's strength is communication—the ability to find a compromise between all parties involved in the construction process and support the project through to its final completion.
