«The Elektrozavod building is a unique example of industrial Neo-Gothic architecture, serving as a key architectural landmark of the district and a bearer of the authentic 'genius loci' (spirit of place). As an architect, I am convinced that such sites require highly professional revitalization rather than demolition or radical reconstruction. Preserving industrial heritage is not only a matter of cultural value but also a proven, successful business model. Global and Russian experience demonstrates that redevelopment creates immense added value for investors and a new point of attraction for citizens. New Holland and Sevkabel Port in St. Petersburg, Stanislavsky Factory, Danilovskaya Manufaktura, and the Bolshevik Business Center in Moscow serve as benchmark examples of sensitive and economically viable redevelopment. Elektrozavod holds colossal potential to become a new world-class center of attraction.»
